
Murphy Acquired From Columbia For Financial Coinsiderations

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that forward Jim Murphy has been acquired from the Columbia Inferno for financial considerations.
Murphy, who stands 6'1" and weighs 192 pounds, has played in seven games with Columbia this season picking up two assists and four penalty minutes. He played in 8 games with Greenville last season picking up 2 points and eight penalty minutes after playing the season at the University of Wisconsin River Falls scoring 15 goals, 17 assists for 32 points and picked up 46 penalty minutes in 31 games played.
Murphy played at the University of Wisconsin River Falls from 2001-2004 playing in a total of 90 games scoring 37 goals, 56 assists f! or 93 points and picked up 145 penalty minutes. He also attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth and played in the USHL for Waterloo. Murphy, who turned 25 years old yesterday, is from St. Paul, Minnesota and shoots left.
The Ice Pilots will play at South Carolina tomorrow night at 6:05 p.m.central time and play at Augusta this Friday night at 6:35 p.m. central time. Fans will be able to hear the games on flagship radio station AM 1620, Cox Communications Channel 2 and at www.icepilots.com sponsored by Sports Avenue.
The Ice Pilots will play home to Greenville on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. and will play home to Las Vegas on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots will be honoring students and teachers from Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties in their next two home games on Saturday vs. Greenville and Sunday vs. Las Vegas. Sunday's game is also family day. A family of four can purchase four upper level tickets, four sodas and four hot dogs for $44.
Sunday is also Florida L! ottery Second Chance Night. The first one hundred fans 18 or older to present $5 worth of non-winning Florida Lottery tickets to the civic center box office will receive one $13 ticket to the game this Sunday vs. Las Vegas at 5:05 p.m.
Fans can purchase individual tickets in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. For group tickets, season tickets and birthday parties, fans can call the Ice Pilots office at 432-PUCK.
