(Toledo, Ohio) The Toledo Storm of the ECHL have announced today that Logan Koopmans has been selected as the Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week.

Logan, drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in round five of the 2002 NHL entry draft, collected his first professional win and shutout Saturday night in Peoria 1-0. After playing 7:17 of Friday night's game, Logan made 32 saves Saturday to blank the Rivermen. Sunday, Logan made 18 saves in a 4-1 win over Johnstown. The Chiefs scored early in the first period of Sunday's game to end what was a shutout streak of 72:44 for Logan.

Koopmans, who had five shutouts last year with Lethbridge of the Western Hockey League, said about the honor, "This is just an added bonus for me. Head Coach and Director of Player Personnel Nick Vitucci said about Logan, "He is very hard working and excited about playing pro hockey. It is a good honor for him."
