MUNCE STOPS ALL 39 SHOTS AS PILOTS FALL 1-0
PENSACOLA, FL - Mississippi goaltender Ryan Munce stopped all 39 Ice Pilots shots as the Sea Wolves defeated the Ice Pilots 1-0 at the Pensacola Civic Center.
Mississippi scored the lone goal in the game as Chris Cava beat goaltender Cam Ellsworth with a blast from the top of the right circle to give the Sea Wolves the 1-0 lead. It was a five on three power play goal. Munce would do the rest as he stopped 18 Ice Pilots shots in the third period and held on for the shut out.
The Ice Pilots battle hard all game, especially in the third period and thought they had tied the game late in the third but a goal was waved off as the whistle was blown before the puck crossed the line.
Don't miss the hard hitting, exciting action, as the Ice Pilots' next home game is Wednesday, December 26 at 7:05 p.m. vs. Mississippi at the Civic Center. All Kids 12 and under will enjoy a free hot dog. 2007-2008 Season Tickets, Mini Plans, and Military Packages are still available through the Ice Pilots office. For more information, or to reserve your seats, call (850) 432-PUCK, or visit the Ice Pilots web site at www.icepilots.com.
