DANBURY, CT - The Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks (10-34-3-0, 23 pts) led after one period on Wednesday night, but a four-goal second period for the New Jersey (36-12-2-0, 74 pts) led the Titans to a 5-2 win.
Dombrowski (19) opened the scoring at 9:54 of the first period with a short-handed breakaway. Danbury blocked a shot and sprung Dombrowski forward to launch a shot from the right circle past New Jersey goaltender Ben Charette.
In the second period, New Jersey struck four times to grab a hold of the contest. The Titans fired 16 shots on goal in the middle period and 44 in the game.
McDonough made 12 stops under constant pressure throughout the second period and totaled 39 saves in the game.
After five-straight New Jersey goals, Boris Skalos (11) scored his first power-play goal of the season on a setup by Dombrowski (18) and Hunter Young (11).
Dombrowski's two-point night extended his team lead in goals and points (37).
The Hat Tricks are back in action on Friday when they travel to Pennsylvania to take on Johnstown.
