For the second-straight night, the Wranglers went with Carter Clafton as their netminder. He had a season record of 13-10-1-1 going into game two. He was also on a four-game win streak (9GA). The Jacks started Noah Rupprecht. He was playing in his first game since Feb. 19th. Amarillo scored the first goal of the game at the 16:04 mark of the first period. Their goal was scored by CJ Zezima (5). He scored their game-winning goal the night before. The Wranglers would take a 1-0 lead into the locker room after the first period concluded. They were outshooting Odessa, 8-5.

The Jacks started the middle period by applying a lot of pressure on Clafton. Their hard work paid off as they were able to tie the game within the first eight minutes of the second period. The tying goal was scored by Dayne Hoyord (19). That was his first goal since Feb. 10th. Later in the period, Odessa kept their foot on the gas and was awarded with their second goal of the game. The Jacks did not let up in the final period as they would go on to score another goal. Their third goal of the game came from their leading scorer, Chris Duclair (18), on the powerplay. It was also his first goal since Feb. 10th. The 3-1 lead was the largest for the Jacks all weekend. The physical play carried on throughout the duration of the game, but the Jacks would prevail. Winning game two by a final of 3-1. Odessa finished with 29 shots and Amarillo had 26. The Wranglers went 0/3 on the powerplay and the Jacks went 1/7.

The win snapped Odessa's six-game losing streak. Also, it was Rupprecht's first win since Feb. 10th. With the Jacks getting two points, it keeps them in the hunt for the final playoff spot as they are still two points back of Shreveport. Odessa now has a record of 25-20-1-4 (55pts). Their opponent for this weekend is in third place with 60 points (Wichita Falls Warriors). Puck drop both nights is scheduled for 7:15 pm CDT.
