2/27 5-3 win at Tulsa
The Mudbugs and Oilers set a CHL season high for the most PIMS in a game with 294. Tulsa scored four power play goals on ten chances to secure the win. A line brawl broke out and 13 players were thrown from the game, including both goaltenders.
3/2 8-0 win vs. Tulsa
The Mudbugs answered Tuesday's road loss with one of their most exciting home wins of the season. Cam Abbott scored five points, including his second career hat trick. Ryan Fairbarn netted his first career hat trick while John DeCaro stopped all 23 of the shots he faced to pick up his first Mudbugs shutout.
3/3 3-2 loss vs. Tulsa
The Mudbugs could only convert one of thirteen chances on the power play as Tulsa goaltender Bill Ruggiero rebounded from his horrible showing the previous night. Some bad bounces allowed Tulsa to preserve a one goal lead and tie the season series 3-3.
3/6 2-1 loss vs. Tulsa
A strong forecheck and a gritty performance by Ken Carroll carried the Bugs to a one goal victory in front of a crowd of 6, 622 school children for a rare day game. Chris Brassard and Cam Abbott both scored while Ken Carroll stopped 27 of 28 shots en route to the win.
MUDBUGS STARS OF THE WEEK
CAM ABBOTT - A five point game on Friday plus his second career hat trick places him back in the top three.
RYAN FAIRBARN - A hat trick from a defenseman isn't something you see very often, Ryan Fairbarn did it Friday for the first time in his career.
KEN CARROLL - Showing top form after only three starts in net since his injury in mid-December.
ONE MORE TIME
Last week the Mudbugs clinched a birth in the 2007 CHL Playoffs. It's the ninth time the Mudbugs have made the playoffs in their ten years of existence.
