Laredo Bucks News Release
LAREDO, Texas - The Laredo Bucks went 4-0-0 this past week and ran their winning streak to a franchise record tying 10 straight games. On Friday night Laredo scored a franchise record five goals in the first period as they beat Rio Grande Valley 5-3 at the LEC. Saturday the Bucks journeyed on the road and rallied from three different two goal deficits to beat Austin 6-5 in a shootout. Sunday Laredo again rallied from a deficit as they beat Corpus Christi 2-1 in overtime on the road. On Tuesday the Bucks capped a three game road trip with a 5-2 victory in Odessa. The Bucks are 14-1-2 in their last 17 road games. Overall Laredo improved their Southern Conference best record to 38-13-5 with 81 points, and they lead Corpus Christi by fourteen points in the Southeast Division race. The Bucks magic number to clinch a fourth straight division title and fourth straight Southern Conference regular season title is two points. Laredo returns home on Friday against the Colorado Eagles for a 7:30 p.m. face off. The first 2,000 fans get a Bucks mouse pad courtesy of Doctors Hospital. If Laredo sells out the game they will donate $10,000 to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, so pack the house for JDRF. The Bucks are offering season tickets starting at less than $79. UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
- The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks are partnering with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help raise money for a cure for Juvenile Diabetes. 'Pack the House' and help the Bucks sellout the LEC for JDRF this Friday against Colorado. If the Bucks sellout the game against the Eagles they will donate $10,000 to JDRF. Local BMP Radio personality Sammy the House from 106.1 FM and Bucky will be placed on the LEC roof from Monday, March 5th---Friday, March 9th. Sammy the House and Bucky will stay on the LEC roof 24 hours a day leading up to the Friday game and they won't come down until the game is sold out. Other local celebrities and officials will be invited to visit and spend time on the roof to help raise attention and money for JDRF. The Bucks ticket office will be open 24 hours a day from March 5-9 to process ticket orders. Bucks tickets for the Friday game to benefit JDRF are also available at several remote locations including; the Laredo Children's Museum at Mall del Norte and local JDRF office at 7913 McPherson, Suite 105.

2006-07 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo is 7-3-1 against the Rayz in 2006-07. The Bucks beat the Rayz 4-2 on 10/21 at the American Bank Center in the season opener for each team. The Rayz beat the Bucks 5-3 at the LEC on 10/31. Laredo beat the Rayz 3-2 on 12/03 with three third period goals. On 12/06 Laredo beat Corpus 2-1 in overtime on a goal by Jeff Bes at the LEC. On 12/22 the Bucks beat the Rayz 5-4 in overtime on a goal by Adam Rivet at the LEC. Kevin Reiter stopped 33 of 34 shots on 01/27 in a 2-1 victory for the Bucks at Corpus Christi. On 01/28 the Bucks blew a 4-1 lead with seven minutes to play and fell 5-4 in a shootout. The Rayz beat the Bucks 3-1 at the LEC on 02/11. Corpus Christi beat the Bucks 6-1 at the LEC on 02/14. Laredo beat the Rayz 4-3 on the road on 02/24. The Bucks rallied for a 2-1 overtime victory on 03/04 at Corpus Christi as forward Serge Dube scored the game winner.
2005-06 REGULAR SEASON: Laredo went 10-2-1 against Corpus in 05-06. The Bucks were 6-1-1 at the LEC and 4-1-0 in Corpus. Overall the Bucks outscored the Rayz 48-24.
All-time: The Bucks are 45-14-2 all-time against Corpus Christi, outscoring the Rayz 242-144. The Bucks are 24-5-1 at the LEC against Corpus.

- The Bucks have won 38 games this season. In their first four seasons Laredo has won 40 or more game three times.

- The Bucks have won a season high, and franchise record tying, 10 straight games and out scored the opposition 48-24 during this stretch. It is tied for the second longest string in the CHL this season. The Bucks did it twice in the 2003-04 season.
TWO GOALS IS TOUGH TO WIN
- Laredo is 3-11-1 when scoring two goals or less this season. Their three wins have all come against Corpus Christi. Laredo won 2-1 in overtime at home on 12/06, 2-1 in regulation at Corpus Christi on 01/27, and 2-1 in overtime at Corpus Christi on 03/04.

TYING IT LATE
- Laredo tied RGV on 12/29 at 2-2 on a goal by rookie forward Bobby Chaumont with 1:26 left in regulation time, then went on to win 3-2 in a shootout. The Bucks tied AUS on 03/03 with a late power play goal ,with the goalie pulled, by forward Chris Korchinski with 2:49 left in regulation then won the game 6-5 in a shootout. It was second time this year the Bucks have scored when pulling the goalie to tie a game.
GIVE ME FIVE
- The Bucks scored a franchise record tying five goals in the first period on 03/02 against RGV. It is the fifth time in franchise history they have accomplished the feat.
SEASON LOW TIED
- The Bucks allowed just two shots in the first period on 03/02 vs. RGV. It tied the season low for shots allowed in a period on 01/20 vs. WIC in the second period.

- 03/06/07 - TUESDAY - @ ODESSA -The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks tied a franchise record with their 10th straight victory as they beat the Odessa Jackalopes 5-2 at the Ector County Coliseum on Tuesday night in front of 2,389 fans. Forwards Jeff Bes and Steve Simoes each scored a pair of goals as Laredo won their sixth straight on the road. The Bucks are 14-1-2 in their last 17 road games. Overall Laredo improved their Southern Conference best record to 38-13-5 with 81 points, and they lead Corpus Christi by fourteen points in the Southeast Division race. The Bucks magic number to clinch a fourth straight division title and fourth straight Southern Conference regular season title is two points. Kevin Reiter stopped 31 of 33 shots and improved to 14-5-1. Mike Gorman allowed five goals on 43 shots and fell to 15-16-5. FINAL SCORE Laredo 5, Odessa 2.

- 03/04/07 - SUNDAY - @ CORPUS CHRISTI -The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks rallied for a 2-1 overtime victory in Corpus Christi against the Rayz at the American Bank Center on Sunday. Forward Serge Dube scored at 2:56 of sudden death to give the Bucks their season high ninth straight win. It was Laredo's fifth straight win on the road and they are 13-1-2 in their last 16 road games. Overall Laredo improved their Southern Conference best record to 37-13-5 with 79 points, and they lead Corpus Christi by twelve points with one game in hand in the Southeast Division race. Eric Marvin stopped 33 of 34 to get the win in 62:56 of work and improve to 19-5-4. Brent Zelenewich allowed two goals on 35 shots in 62:56 and took the tough luck overtime loss to fall to 11-8-3. FINAL SCORE Laredo 2, Corpus Christi 1.

- 03/03/07 - SATURDAY - @ AUSTIN -The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks rallied three times from two goal deficits and posted a 6-5 shootout win on the road over the Austin Ice Bats in front of 1,900 fans at the Chaparral Ice Center. Defenseman Serge Dube had a pair of goals as the Bucks registered their season high tying eighth straight win. In their last 15 road games they are 12-1-2. Overall Laredo improved their Southern Conference best record to 36-13-5 with 77 points, and they lead Corpus Christi by eleven points with one game in hand in the Southeast Division race. Kevin Reiter stopped 19 of 24 in 64:00 minutes and was perfect in the shootout to improve to 13-5-1. Miguel Beaudry stopped 43 of 48 shots and allowed two goals in the shootout as he fell to 12-9-9. FINAL SCORE Laredo 6, Austin 5 in a shootout.

- 03/02/07 - FRIDAY - vs. RIO GRANDE VALLEY - The defending CHL President's Cup Champion Laredo Bucks dominated early, and then held on for a 5-3 win over the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at the LEC in front of 5,205 fans. Forward Jeff Bes scored a pair of goals as the Bucks won their seventh straight game. Overall Laredo improved their Southern Conference best record to 35-13-5 with 75 points, and they lead Corpus Christi by eleven points with one game in hand in the Southeast Division race. Eric Marvin stopped 26 of 29 shots and got the win to improve to 17-5-4. Jeremy Symington started and played the first period, allowing five goals on 22 shots and getting the loss to fall to 15-13-4. Jeff Van Nynatten stopped all 17 shots he saw in 38 plus minutes of relief, but did not factor in the decision. FINAL SCORE Laredo 5, Rio Grande Valley 3.

- Single game tickets for the Bucks start at $14.95. Of the 32 home games, 25 will take place on either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Game times will remain the same for the 2006-07 season. Weekday games begin at 7 p.m., while Friday and Saturday night games are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday games will be at 4 p.m.
