Rocky Mountain Rage News Release

Broomfield, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Rage have re-signed rookie defenseman Preston Briggs, who will begin his second stint this season with the club when the Rage host the Wichita Thunder tomorrow at Broomfield Event Center at 7:05 p.m.

The 6-foot-4, 200 lb. native of Colorado Springs began his rookie campaign with the Oklahoma City Blazers before he was acquired by Rocky Mountain on Nov. 9 in exchange for future considerations. Tomorrow night the Rage will aim for their third straight win at home following a 5-2 victory against the Lubbock Cotton Kings on Feb. 28 and a 6-0 shutout over the Amarillo Gorillas on March 2. The last time they faced the Thunder on Feb. 2 in Wichita, Rocky Mountain prevailed 2-1 in a shootout behind 39 saves from goaltender Trevor Cunning and two goals from All-Star forward Mark Wires.
