CATCHING THE RAYZ - Dale Lupul scored with 49 seconds remaining in regulation to complete a 3-2 come-from-behind victory for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs over the Corpus Christi Rayz on Tuesday night at the CenturyTel Center. Chris Brassard tied the game late in the third with a slap shot from the right circle and Lupul would win it with a blue line shot at 19:11 after a Blair Manning faceoff win.

DOMINATING WIN - With contributions from all three lines and 29 saves from rookie goaltender David Cacciola, the Mudbugs won their sixth straight game, 4-0 over the Odessa Jackalopes on Friday night in front of 5,669 fans at the CenturyTel Center. Cacciola made 11 third period saves for his second career shutout and seventh win of the year.

SELLOUT CROWD WATCHES 3-2 THRILLER - In front of a sellout crowd of 7,652 fans at the CenturyTel Center on Saturday night, the Mudbugs came from behind to defeat the Laredo Bucks 3-2 to extend their winning streak to seven games. The Mudbugs now lead the Northeast Division by 19 points with an overall record of 26-13-5. Ken Carroll finished the night with 25 saves for his 16th win of the year.

MUDBUGS STARS OF THE WEEK Scott Sheppard - Two goals and two assists in his return to the CHL, including the game-winner on Saturday

Brett Smith - Set a new Mudbugs single season record with his fifth shorthanded goal on Saturday

Chris Brassard - Now has an 11-game point scoring streak and points in 15 of his last 16 games

POWER PLAY AT BUFFALO WILD WINGS OFF THIS WEEK- Due to the Mudbugs game on Tuesday, "Power Play with Scott Muscutt" will not take place this week.

MUDBUGS NOTES - The Mudbugs have won a season-high seven games in a row and eleven of their last twelve..... The Mudbugs have killed 34 straight shorthanded situations..... Ken Carroll has won eight starts in a row and is 9-0-1 in his last ten appearances..... The Mudbugs have won five road games in a row.

CAPTAINS FOR COURAGE JERSEY AUCTION - The Mudbugs and the Central Hockey League, in conjunction with the Hoffen Foundation, are pleased this week to take part in a charitable effort designed to raise funds for children's charities within each market. Dan Wildfong's jersey from the February 19th game versus Lubbock will be auctioned off online with the proceeds going to the Hal Sutton Foundation. The jersey auction will continue until 5:00 p.m. on March 1st as part of the CHL's "Captains for Courage" Program.

THIS WEEK - This week, the Mudbugs will conclude their four-game homestand with a 7:05 p.m. faceoff against the Youngstown SteelHounds on another "Two Dollar Tuesday" with bronze level seats available for just two dollars. Then the Mudbugs hit the road for a pair of away games on Thursday at Lubbock and on Friday at Amarillo. Both games will be aired on KWKH AM 1130. Then after having Saturday off, the Mudbugs will return home on Sunday for the 2nd annual "Pooch Party" and a 5:05 p.m. matchup against the Lubbock Cotton Kings. All fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the game (must be on leashes and show proof of updated shots) and the best dressed dog will win the chance to drop the ceremonial first puck.
