Coming Home:After a Tuesday game in Amarillo at 7 p.m. (KMMY FM 97.1), the Tulsa Oielrs will begin a three game home stand hosting the Wichita Thunder Friday and Memphis RiverKings Saturday, with both games at 7:35 p.m.
5 of 6: The Oilers earned five a possible six points last week, losing in a shootout 5-4 to Youngstown in the American Airlines/Transport Workers Local 514 Tulsa Public Schools Day game. But they rebounded with 5-2 and 4-1 road wins in Lubbock and Wichita.
Pioneer Here: Willie O'Ree, the first black to play in the NHL will visit Tulsa this week. He will be on hand at both home games. O'Ree will begin his Tulsa visit Thursday night at the Circle Cinema (Lewis and Admiral) where the video biography of his life, Echoes of the Rink will be shown FREE at 6, 7 and 8 o'clock. The Oiler players will be on hand at those showings.
Brave Captain:Oiler Captain Dan Hodge will wear a special patch on his game jersey Saturday night against Memphis as part of the CHL's Caps for Courage program. His jersey will then be available in an on line auction through the Central Hockey League at http://centralhockeyleague.com/merchandise/auction/
Staying Hot: Jaroslav Cesky has run his point streak to a league high 14 games. He had four goals and four assists including his first pro hat trick along with two assists for a five point night against Lubbock. In his streak, Cesky has 15 goals and 16 assists.
