Mudbugs to Open Playoffs Tonight

BOSSIER CITY, LA - The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs will open their 2011 Central Hockey League Playoff run at 7:05 pm tonight at the CenturyTel Center with Game 1 of their Opening Round series against the Arizona Sundogs. Game 2 of the best-of-5 series, which is presented by the Shreveport Times, will then follow tomorrow at the CTC before the series shifts to Prescott Valley, Arizona for Game 3 on Tuesday.
The first 1,000 fans through the doors at tonight's game will receive a free "Teal Towel", courtesy of Community Trust Bank. We're encouraging our fans to wave these teal rally towels any time the ¬ËBugs need a boost throughout the 2011 CHL playoffs, so arrive early tonight to get yours! After the first 1,000 Teal Towels have been given away, they will still be available for a price of $2.00 each at the Gateway Tire Fan Services Center inside the main entrance of the CenturyTel Center.
Also at the Gateway Tire Fan Services Center tonight and tomorrow will be a collection of various autographed and game-used Mudbugs items up for bid in a silent auction. The funds raised from this auction will be used to help offset the extra travel costs of the Mudbugs flying to Arizona next week rather than enduring a grueling, 24-hour bus ride before Games 3 and 4 (if necessary) of the series.

Mudbugs playoff packages are on sale now and can be purchased by phone at 318-752-BUGS or in person at the team office inside the CenturyTel Center between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. If you have already purchased your playoff package, tickets are also available for pickup through the rest of the day at the Mudbugs office or can be placed at will call for pickup at the game.
