Game Notes

-Rapid City begins their push to repeat as CHL Champs on Friday night when they open their series with the Dayton Gems. The last CHL team to win back-to-back CHL Championships was the Memphis RiverKings during the 2002 and 2003 seasons. The only other team that can claim that same accomplishment are the 1994, 1995 Wichita Thunder.

-Dating back to last season, the Missouri Mavericks have lost five straight playoff games scoring just one goal in four of those five games. The Mavs lost on Wednesday in Game One of their series with Wichita by a 2-1 count.

-The Mississippi RiverKings used seven different goal scorers to top the Tulsa Oilers in Game One of their best-of-5 series. Louis Dumont scored a goal and had an assist. Rookie goaltender Alexander Pechurskiy made 27 saves earning his first post-season win.

-After playing seven games in the last nine days of the regular season, the Bloomington PrairieThunder should be well-rested when they take the ice on Saturday night in Game One of their series versus the Fort Wayne Komets. It will mark nearly a full week without games for the PThunder who will be playing in the first playoff games in their five-year history.

-Quad City and Colorado met three times during the regular season with the Mallards winning two of those three games. Tonight will be the first ever visit for the Flock to the Budweiser Events Center as all three regular season games were in Moline.

-Texas forward Jason Deitsch led his team to a 5-4 win over Odessa in Game One of their series on Thursday night. Deitsch scored two goals with two assists giving him five straight multiple-point games, dating back to the regular season. In his last five games, the Brahmas Captain has four goals and nine assists.

-The Allen Americans scored three times in the first 4:47 of their Game One 4-1 win over the RGV Killer Bees on Thursday night. Judd Blackwater scored two of the three goals, one on the power play.

-Odessa forward Todd Robinson had an assist in Thursday's one-goal loss to the Texas Brahmas giving him points in 18 straight games, dating back to the regular season.

-Despite being in the same conference, tonight will be the first meeting of the season between the Arizona Sundogs and the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. All-time, the teams have met just four times with Bossier-Shreveport winning three of those games.
