
Bees fall to Allen

Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
ALLEN, Texas- The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees fell Friday night by a 4-2 score to the Allen Americans as Allen increases their lead in the best of five series to two games to none. Tomas Klempa and Brett Clouthier scored for the Bees while Juliano Pagliero made 29 saves on 33 shots.

The two sides played a competitive first period with neither side able to score. Juliano Pagliero made nine saves while Chris Whitley made seven.
The Americans broke the deadlocked game at the 13:15 mark in the second period while on the man-advantage. Bruce Graham took a shot from inside the circles that slid through the crease to the back of the net. Jonathan Zion and Kip Brennan picked up the assists.
The Americans struck again with a four-on-four goal at 15:29 as Jarret Lukin one timed a beautiful feed from Judd Blackwater to the back of the net to give Allen the two goal lead they would take to the locker-room.
At the start of the third period the Bees would cut the lead to one as Tomas Klempa ripped a shot from the slot that beat Whitley on the blocker side. Dan Gendur and Aaron Lewicki earned the assists for the goal at 2:07.
Allen would bring their lead back to two goals at 4:11 of the third as Colton Yellow Horn scored while the Americans were on the power-play and then Allen made it a three goal lead as Tobias Whelan scored an unassisted goal at 11:10 of the third.
The Bees would get one more tally at the end of the game as Brett Clouthier deflected a Mark Magnowski pass to the back of the net with only 27 seconds left in the game.
