
Mudbugs Fall 3-1 to Steelhounds

BOSSIER CITY, LA -- The Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs tried to make it two in a row when they welcomed the Youngstown Steelhounds to town. Younstown wasted very little time as Chris Richards grabbed hold of a puck in the high slot and fired it top shelf passed Mudbugs goalie Ken Carroll.
The Bugs struggled to kick start the offense in the second period. The Bugs surrendured two more goals as Doug Orr cruised up the left wing a shot a puck by Ken Carroll. Mark Johnson would later jam a rebound to put Youngstown up 3-0 before the end of the period.
In the third period, the Mudbugs got one on the board as Chris Brassard fed a pass to Karlis Zurnis who slipped it passed Youngstown goalie Brad Roberts for a shorthanded goal. The Mudbugs lose 3-1 and hit the road for a game tomorrow in Oklahoma City. It's a 6:00 P.M. faceoff with the pre-game starting on 1130 KWKH at 5:40 PM.
