
Mud Hens Host Two, Four-Game Series at Home

The Mud Hens are returning to Toledo to take on the IL West leading Indianapolis Indians and the Ottawa Lynx. This is the second time the Hens have faced both of these two teams in the 2007 season. The Hens start the homestand off by facing the Indians in a four-game series from June 22-25. Toledo will follow that series up with a four-game series against Ottawa from June 26-29. Indianapolis is currently in first place in the IL West and the Hens trail them by just two games. Ottawa is in last place in the IL North. This homestand will feature an appearance by Waldo from the book Where's Waldo?, a Harley jersey auction night, five installments of the High School Home Run Derby, an autograph Sunday, team autograph day, Kids Run the Bases, scout nights, giveaways and post-game fireworks after four games!
Toledo Mud Hens Promotions for June 22 - June 29
Friday, June 22 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This game will be the first of a four-game series against the Indians. Prior to the game, there will be a scout parade. Thunderstix will be distributed to fans as they enter Fifth Third Field. Post-game excitement includes an installment of the High School Home Run Derby that will feature representatives from Fremont Ross and Defiance High School and post-game fireworks. There will also be a Boy Scout Sleepover following the fireworks. The contest between the Hens and the Indians can be heard live on Sports Radio 1470 AM - The Ticket and live on BCSN.
Saturday, June 23 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) -This is TEAM autograph night at Fifth Third Field. The Mud Hens will be available between 5:30-6:15 p.m. prior to the game to give free autographs to fans on the main concourse. Thunderstix will be distributed to fans as they enter Fifth Third Field. There will also be a parade for scouts prior to the game. Following the game, there will be another installment of the High School Home Run Derby featuring a player from Lake High School and a player from Tiffin Columbian High School. Post-game fireworks will follow the Home Run Derby. After the fireworks, there will be another Boy Scout Sleepover. Sunday, June 24 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch @ 6:30 p.m.) - Waldo from the book Where's Waldo? will be appearing at the game. This game also features the Epilepsy Center of NW Ohio's 30th Anniversary Celebration in addition to it being a Ronald McDonald House Family Night. Thunderstix will be distributed to fans as they enter the gates of Fifth Third Field. As with every Sunday at Fifth Third Field, there will be a Blade Baseball/Cheer Card giveaway. In addition, two members of the Mud Hens will sign FREE autographs for fans in section 119 of the main
concourse from 5:45-6:15 p.m. Sundays also feature Kids Run the Bases day, where kids can line up after the game and run around the bases just like the Hens. Immediately following the game, Bedford (MI) High School will show off their representative in the High School Home Run Derby. Following the Home Run Derby there will be post-game fireworks for fans to enjoy. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM and live on BCSN.
Monday, June 25 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) -This marks the final game
of the series with Indianapolis. Catch the action live on Sports Radio 1470 AM - The Ticket and on tape delay on BCSN at midnight.
Tuesday, June 26 (Ottawa, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This will be the first game of a
four-game series against the Ottawa Lynx. Prior to the game, former Hen, John Ennis, will receive his 2006 Toledo championship ring. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM and on tape delay on BCSN at midnight.
Wednesday, June 27 (Ottawa, 1st pitch @ Noon) - Fans will receive school folders and there will be a pre-game Drug Awareness event. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM and live on BCSN.
Thursday, June 28 (Ottawa, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This is the Hens-n-Hogs Harley Night at Fifth Third Field. Mud Hens players will be wearing special Harley-inspired jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game. Post-game there will be another installment of the High School Home Run Derby featuring representatives from Waite High School and Elmwood High School. Friday, June 29 (Ottawa, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This is the final game against the Lynx and the final of the eight-game homestand for the Hens. Prior to the game, Michael Beans will be performing Island Music in the Coop-a-Cabana. The first 3,000 fans to enter Fifth Third Field will receive Kazoos. After the game, an installment of the High School Home Derby will feature athletes from Columbus Grove High School and Ann Arbor Huron High School.
