FORT MILL, S.C. - June 20, 2007 - One of the rising stars of country music will be performing at Knights Stadium this summer. On Saturday, July 7, Bucky Covington will be featured in a post-game concert following the Charlotte Knights game. Covington, a Rockingham North Carolina native who appeared on American Idol, will take the stage following the Knights game against the Columbus Clippers. The opening act will be Melissa McGee, who also appeared on American Idol. Game time is 7:15 p.m.
Fans get admission to both the Knights game and the concert with a single ticket. There is no additional ticket required for the concert and all ticket prices remain as normal.
Fans can get a free ticket to the game by stopping by Harris Teeter and purchasing two Edy's Slow Churned Light Ice Cream products. The free ticket will be printed at the bottom of the register receipt. Fans must bring their register receipt in order to get their free ticket. The Knights will not accept empty ice cream containers or boxes.
