Lynn, MA – Thanks to the left arm of Bryan Morse and the bat of Travis Oglesby, the North Shore Spirit ended their three-game losing streak Sunday afternoon with a 6-0 win against the Les Capitales de Quebec.

A crowd of 3,510 at the New Fraser Field in Lynn watched as Morse (10-4) tossed his league-leading 6th complete game of the season and second shutout. Morse limited Quebec to only eight baserunners, while striking out six.

With the game scoreless in the third, Yuri Sanchez led off with a ringing double into the rightfield corner. Sanchez would score two batters later on an RBI groundout by Nelson Teilon.

In the fourth, Travis Oglesby connected for his team-leading 17th homerun of the season, a solo shot to left, giving the Spirit a two-run advantage.

North Shore would again use the long ball to increase their lead to 6-0 in the fourth. Joe Hastings broke things open with a three-run shot off starter Lance Franks. Oglesby followed with his second bomb night, a towering flyball deep over the fence in left-center.

Joe Hastings finished the game 2-4 with three RBI's. Nelson Teilon and Yuri Sanchez each had pair of hits. This was Travis Oglesby's first multi-homerun game of the season. North Shore now trails Quebec by two games in the North Division second half standings.
