Belleville Bulls News Release

KINGSTON, ON - The Belleville Bulls and the Kingston Frontenacs meet for the fourth time this season on Friday night. The Bulls are a perfect 3-0 over their East Division foes thus far. Following a thrilling 5-4 home win over the Ottawa 67's on Wednesday night, the Bulls are hoping to add another important two points before hosting the league leading Erie Otters on Saturday.

The Frontenacs suffered a tough road loss to the streaking Sarnia Sting last weekend. Over age left-winger Samuel Schutt scored just under two minutes into the final frame but it was too little too late as the Sting hung on to beat Fronts 4-3. Both Kingston netminders saw action between the pipes.

London, Ontario native Spencer Watson continues to lead his club with 13 goals and 15 helpers in 22 games played. Forward Robert Polesello has also been a key contributor, potting 11 markers and picking up 14 assists in 25 games played. 1995-born centre Ryan Kujawinski has pitched in with 12 goals and 9 assists in 24 games played.

Fonts goaltender Lucas Peressini is one of the best between the pipes this season, owning a 0.924 save percentage and a 2.24 goals against average.

After leading 3-1 after 40 minutes on Wednesday night, the Bulls allowed 3 Ottawa goals in the third period. In the dying seconds of regulation, World Junior Selection Camp invitee Remi Elie stepped over the blue line and wired home the game winner. Elie's first goal in 10 games gave the home team their second win in a row. Other Belleville scorers were Brett Gustavsen (2), Brandon Saigeon and Brett Welychka.

Elie continues to lead his squad with 12 goals and 19 assists in 28 games played this season. Jordan Subban, who was just named the Ryobi hardest working defenceman for the month of November has 13 goals and 13 helpers in 28 games as well.

Netminder Charlie Graham, who turned away 33 shots in the win over the 67's, has a 0.916 save percentage.

Newly reacquired defenceman Adam Bignell played some good minutes on Wednesday night and provided plenty of toughness on the blue line.

"It was great to have Biggy back," said Head Coach George Burnett. "He had a strong game to start."

The Bulls look to make it four in a row against their East Division rivals. Puck drop from the Rogers K-Rock Centre is set for 7:00pm.
