
More Than 23,000 Fans Expected for Tonight's Canadian Championship Final

VANCOUVER, BC - More than 23,000 fans are expected for the 2022 Canadian Championship Final against Toronto FC on Tuesday night.
The crowd will be the largest ever at BC Place for the Canadian Championship, eclipsing the 19,616 when the club last won the Voyageurs Cup in 2015. Limited tickets remain available at whitecapsfc.com/tickets. For group tickets, visit whitecapsfc.com/groups.
The winner of the Canadian Championship will lift the Voyageurs Cup and qualify for the 2023 Concacaf Champions League against the best clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Fans are encouraged to wear white to the match, with Whitecaps FC offering fan and family friendly specials for all attendees at the Canadian Championship Final, including a free STAND BY ME t-shirt for the first 15,000 fans, as well as 50 per cent off all drinks until the end of the first half. Fans are also invited to attend The Warmup pre-game party on Terry Fox Plaza starting at 4:30 p.m. PT, featuring a DJ, food and beverage specials, giveaways, and face painting. The first 100 fans at The Warmup will receive an Asahi Super Dry from 'Caps CEO Axel Schuster.
Player arrivals will take place at Terry Fox Plaza between 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. PT.
The Voyageurs Cup has been awarded to the Canadian Championship winner since 2008. Created by the Voyageurs Canadian Supporters group, the trophy represents Canadian fans' commitment to the game in our country. At the completion of the competition, the tournament MVP is named as the George Gross Memorial Trophy Award winner. The Young Canadian Player Award is presented to the best Canadian player in the competition 23 years of age or under.
