Mooseheads Acquire Robert Orr from Saint John

June 3, 2020 - Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) - Halifax Mooseheads News Release

Halifax - General Manager Cam Russell added a young forward in a deal with the Saint John Sea Dogs when the QMJHL Trade Period opened on Wednesday. The Mooseheads acquired forward Robert Orr in exchange for 2nd and 4th round picks in this weekend's QMJHL Entry Draft.

Orr will turn 17-years-old in September and was originally selected in the 5th round of the 2019 draft by the Sea Dogs despite being ranked as the 34th best available player by QMJHL Central Scouting. The native of Beaconsfield, QC led the Lac St-Louis Lions in scoring last season and was 10th in the league with 45 points (20 goals, 25 assists) in 42 games. He finishes his QMAAA career with 78 points in 76 regular season games.

The 1st Round of the QMJHL Entry Draft will be held online this Friday night at 7:30pm ADT where your Mooseheads hold the 14th and 18th overall selections.
