Moose Sign Defenceman Lukas Gustafsson

WINNIPEG - The Manitoba Moose Hockey Club announced today the team signed defenceman Lukas Gustafsson to an American Hockey League contract through the 2026-27 season. Gustafsson will join the Moose on a professional tryout for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

Gustafsson, 23, notched 22 points (6G, 16A) in 36 games while captaining the Boston College Eagles this season. The Metairie, La. native was named to the 2026 Hockey East Third All-Star Team. Gustafsson totalled 72 points (14G, 58A) in 147 NCAA games with Boston College, capturing the Hockey East Championship in 2024. Prior to his collegiate career, the defender tallied 42 points (12G, 30A) in 73 USHL games with the Chicago Steel. Gustafsson and the Steel won a USHL Championship in 2021.
