Goaltender Hampton Slukynsky and Forward Grant Slukynsky Join Ontario Reign on ATO's

The LA Kings announced today they have signed goaltender Hampton Slukynsky to a three-year entry-level contract through the 2028-29 season, and forward Grant Slukynsky to a one-year entry-level contract through the 2026-27 season. Additionally, both players will join the Ontario Reign on an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

Hampton Slukynsky, 20, just completed his sophomore season of college hockey at Western Michigan University where he led all NCAA goaltenders with 27 wins posting a 27-11-1 record with a 2.30 goals-against average, .915 save percentage, and four shutouts appearing in all 39 games. His 2,352 minutes of ice time ranked second among all collegiate netminders while his four shutouts tied for third. He earned NCHC Second All-Star Team and Three Stars Award honors while being named a five-time conference Goaltender of the Week and the January Goaltender of the Month.

The 6-2, 185lb goaltender made his collegiate debut in 2024-25, recording a 19-5-1 record with a 1.90 GAA, .922 SV%, and one shutout in 25 games leading the Broncos to their first NCHC regular and tournament championships, Frozen Four appearance, and National Championship in program history. As a freshman, he was named to the Frozen Four All-Tournament Team, NCHC All-Rookie, Second All-Star Team honors, and was named a finalist for NCH Goaltender of the Year.

Drafted by the LA Kings in the 2023 NHL Draft, fourth round, 118th overall, Slukynsky played one season in the USHL with the Fargo Force in 2023-24 leading the league with 28 wins, 1.86 GAA, .923 SV%, and five shutouts posting a 28-3-0 record in 33 games. He was named USHL Goaltender of the Year and to the First All-Star Team. Slukynsky helped the Force to their second Clark Cup Championship in franchise history appearing in 12 playoff games going 9-3-0 with a 1.69 GAA and .931 SV%.

The Warroad, MN native competed for Team USA at the 2025 Men's World Championships, 2025 World Junior Championship, and 2023 Men's U18 World Championship helping USA to gold medals in all three tournaments.

Grant Slukynsky, 24, just finished his third season of collegiate hockey, second with Western Michigan, leading all Broncos skaters with 40 points, eighth in the country, and 30 assists, third in the country skating in 39 games while being named to the NCHC's Third All-Star Team serving as an alternate captain. The 6-1, 200lb forward led all Broncos skaters with 26 assists during the 2024-25 campaign finishing with 36 points in 42 games helping lead the Broncos to the National Championship. He played his first season at Northern Michigan in 2023-24 collecting nine points (6G, 3A) in 34 games.

Prior to college hockey, he played parts of four seasons in the USHL from 2019-23 splitting time with the Fargo Force (2019-21) and Sioux City Musketeers (2021-23) accumulating 82 points (30G, 52A) in 178 career games. During the 2021-22 campaign he helped Sioux City capture the Clark Cup Championship and then served as team captain the following year.
