Moose Release Lemieux from PTO

The Manitoba Moose today announced they have released centre Francis Lemieux from his professional tryout contract.

Lemieux, 26, joined the Moose on Dec. 9/10 during their recent four-game road trip and appeared in two games, in Oklahoma City (Dec. 10/10) and San Antonio (Dec. 11/10). He recorded no points or penalty minutes while with the Moose.

Before joining the Moose, Lemieux played in 25 games this season with the ECHL's Florida Everblades where he'd scored 31 points (10g, 21a) and collected 33 penalty minutes. The Sherbrooke, PQ native has previously played five seasons in the AHL with the Grand Rapids Griffins and Hamilton Bulldogs. In 251 career games in the AHL, he's scored 113 points (45g, 68a) and recorded 233 penalty minutes.
