Manitoba Moose News Release
The Manitoba Moose are pleased to announce the return of the annual "Teddy Bear Toss in partnership with Toyota" to take place during the second intermission when the Moose host the Lake Erie Monsters on Friday, December 18th at MTS Centre. Game time is 7:30 PM.
All stuffed toys received during the toss will be donated to Christmas Cheer Board, an organization that donates toys to children in need during the holiday season.
Fans attending the game between the Moose and Monsters are invited to bring a stuffed toy to the game and have that toy registered at one of the Teddy Bear Toss registration tables located on MTS Centre concourse. During the registration process, each fan will have their toy bagged and sealed. Each bag will then be individually numbered for a prize draw for all participants later in the game.
During the second intermission, all fans with a registered stuffed toy will be prompted to throw their bag on the ice - in an effort to cover the entire ice surface with bears to donate.
For those fans that forgot to bring a stuffed toy, but would still like to participate in the toss, can purchase a teddy bear for $5.00 each from tables set up on the concourse. All proceeds from the purchased bears will also be donated to Christmas Cheer Board.
Last year, the Moose donated 1,345 stuffed toys and $2,400 to the Christmas Cheer board after the Teddy Bear Toss on December 17, 2008.
Moose fans can get their "Holiday Hat-Trick" or any other Manitoba Moose ticket package by contacting the Moose Ticket Office at (204) 987-PUCK (7825) or calling Ticketmaster at (204) 780-3333.
