Enroth Leads Pirates To Shutout Win

Manchester, NH - Jhonas Enroth made 39 saves in a starring performance as the Portland Pirates blanked the Manchester Monarchs 2-0 in an American Hockey League game played tonight in front of 3,013 at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Matt Caruana and Felix Schutz, with his fifth in as many games, supplied the offense for the Pirates, who posted their third straight win and extended their point streak to 10 games (7-0-3-0). Portland also extended their road point streak to six games (4-0-2-0) with their third straight road victory. Portland is now 12-10-3-0 on the season

The Monarchs saw their three game win streak end with the setback and suffered only their second home regulation loss of the season. Manchester is now 15-7-1-2 on the season

The Pirates led 1-0 after one and 2-0 heading into the third.

The Monarch out shot the Pirates 39-30 in the game.
