For the fourth consecutive week, a Potomac National is the Carolina League player of the Week. For the third time in that span, it's Tyler Moore. The Mississippi native started August hot going 11 for 23 with eight runs, two doubles and four homers and drove in ten RBI.
Moore leads the Carolina League in home runs (21), RBI (83), doubles (36) and extra-base hits (49) while he is the leader among current league players in slugging percentage (.510). He had the best month of any Carolina League hitter belting seven homers and 12 doubles which led to 28 RBI. He batted an amazing .358 after starting the month 0-for-17.
Moore backs up Bill Rhinehart who was hitter of the week last week.
