
Montoya Traded to the Lancaster Barnstormers

Washington, Pa- The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, traded RHP Jhonny Montoya's to the Lancaster Barnstormers on Wednesday, according to officials
Montoya was with the Wild Things from 2011-2012. The Caracas, native completed the 2012 season with a 3-3 record, allowing 32 runs on 53 hits and striking out 66 players in 62 innings pitched.
"I am excited to see Jhonny Montoya get an opportunity on a higher level," said Chris Bando, the Wild Things' field manager. "He has a power arm that has earned the opportunity before him."
Montoya singed with the Wild Things after playing in the United League, where he spent time between Rio Grande Valley and Coastal Blend.
