Saginaw leads series 2-1
Nolan Dann scored the overtime winner 12:41 into overtime to secure the crucial win for Flint.
Reigning OHL player of the week Matyas Sapovaliv scored twice with the goalie pulled in the final five minutes to force overtime.
Centre Ethan Hay recorded three assists in the victory, Hay also won 26/40 faceoffs in the contest helping Flint win 61/89 faceoffs in the contest.
Rookie Michael Misa scored and added two assists for Saginaw.
Nathan Day earned his first OHL playoff win as he stopped 33 of 37 shots.
Flint cut Saginaw's series lead in half before a crowd of 3,016 at the Dort Financial Center.
