
Moncton's Baca traded to Shawinigan

The Moncton Wildcats announced January 6, 2008 that defenseman Martin Baca has been traded to the Shawinigan Cataractes in return for an eight round draft pick in the 2009 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Draft.
Baca only dressed for 16 games in the 2007-2008 season with the Wildcats, registering just one point and 21 penalty minutes.
This trade marks the fifth trade for the Wildcats in the 2007-2008 winter trade period.
Moncton begins a stretch of 9 of their next 12 games on the road with a 3-game road trip at 8:00 p.m. Thursday as they battle the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies from Dave Keon Arena. Catch all the action live on NEWS 91.9FM with the Voice of the Wildcats, Gerry Green.
The Wildcats return to The Cage at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18 when they faceoff with the Val-d'Or Foreurs, and cap the weekend homestand with another 7p.m. tilt on Saturday, Jan. 19 versus Rouyn-Noranda.
