Moncton Wildcats News Release
Moncton N.B. - Moncton Wildcats season tickets are hotter than ever, announced General Manager, Bill Schurman, today. To date, the team has sold 2,103 season tickets. This season, the Wildcats have reached the highest number of season tickets than any of their previous eight seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. "Southern New Brunswick is Wildcats' country and our season ticket sales confirm it" said Schurman. "Never in our franchise history has season ticket sales been so strong". Wildcats ticketing controller, Lise Houser, has been working with the Wildcats for a number of years and agrees that season tickets have never been in higher demand. "We have sold more season tickets this year than any other year that I have been involved with QMJHL hockey in Moncton" said Houser. During the 2003-04 season the Wildcats attracted 151,476 fans over their 35 game home schedule averaging 4,327 per game. For twelve home games played to date this season, the Wildcats have attracted a total of 48,921 spectators, an increase of 1,993 compared to the first twelve home games in 2003-04.  The Wildcats currently sit in first place in the QMJHL Atlantic Division with a record of 14 â 4 - 1 (29 pts). They are also in sole possession of first place overall in the 16 team QMJHL. "We have a great team that competes hard game in and game out. We have seven players drafted by NHL teams. That certainly helps get our fans in the area excited and we expect we will see an increase in overall attendance this season" said Schurman.  The Wildcats offered a variety of season ticket options for this season. Fans could purchase a specific seat for each game during the regular season. Very popular are full season flex packages, which provide the flex pass ticket holder 35 game coupons. The holder selects the games that he or she wishes to attend and may redeem the coupons for any number of seats to a game. Flex passes are still on sale for this season. Moncton Wildcats season ticket holders receive preferred parking at the Coliseum, first rights for playoff tickets and first rights for 2006 Memorial Cup Tickets should Moncton be awarded the National Championship. Season Ticket holders also receive a 10% discount on Wildcats Boutique purchases. Season tickets can be purchased at the Wildcats office located in the Moncton Coliseum or by calling 506-382-5555.
