
Moncton Wildcats Pink in the Rink a success

The Moncton Wildcats are calling their breast cancer awareness weekend, dubed Pink in the Rink, a success. Fans showed support by wearing pink to the games and also participating in a silent auction on special edition jerseys.
"The Wildcats to a person understand the importance of raising awareness and resources for this cause. We were pleased with the results for the first "pink in the rink" and we thank the support of Wildcats fans, booster club, coach's and players for getting into the pink of things" said Wildcats GM Bill Schurman. The silent auction raised more than $5000. for the Canadian Brest Cancer Foundation. A special pre-game cheque presentation will take place prior to the Wildcats next home game on Wednesday October 22, 2008 with Chicoutimi in town.
