MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, are proud to announce Go Green where they will hold their first ever carbon neutral game at the Verizon Wireless Arena when they host the Worcester Sharks at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25.

The Monarchs have teamed up with the Carbon Neutral Company to offset their carbon footprint for the Monarchs first ever carbon neutral game. The money funded to offset the Monarchs carbon emissions will be distributed to seven international environmental projects including the Kanyakumari Bundled Wind Project, Kurnool Renewable Biomass Power, Kotmar Waste Heat Recovery Project, Fujian Landfill Gas Power Project, Guohua Wind Power Project, Tamilnadu Wind Farm and the Panchpatta 20 MW Wind Power Project.

The Monarchs game day carbon footprint is an estimate of the environmental impact for one Monarchs home game and includes fans and employees driving to and from the game, the waste produced during a game through concessions and includes any and all aspects of the game day operations at the Verizon Wireless Arena. The Carbon Neutral Company and the Monarchs have estimated 13-tons of carbon emissions are generated each game.

A portion of group ticket revenue from Go Green will be donated to Clean-Air Cool-Planet, New Hampshire The Beautiful and the Sierra Club.
