Ducks Assign Igor Bobkov to Crunch

Syracuse, NY (March 20, 2012) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have assigned goaltender Igor Bobkov to the Syracuse Crunch.

Bobkov, 21, spent the 2011-12 campaign with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Bobkov played in 58 games recording 17 wins with a .902 save percentage and 3.64 goals-against average. A native of Surgut, Russia, Bobkov earned two wins for the Crunch at the end of the 2010-11 season. Bobkov also helped lead Team Russia to a gold medal at the 2011 IIHF World Juniors by stopping all 20 shots faced in relief en route to a 5-3 championship. The Ducks drafted Bobkov in the third round, 76th overall, during the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch continue their playoff push in Rochester on Wednesday, March 21 at 7:05 p.m. The team returns home for games against St John's on March 23 and Rochester on March 24, both games begin at 7:30 p.m. Both season tickets and single game tickets can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473- 4444.
