
Monarchs Send Welch To Reading

MANCHESTER, NH â The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have returned on loan right wing Dan Welch to the Reading Royals of the ECHL, Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced on Friday. Welch, 24, has 13 points (3-10=13) and 49 penalty minutes in 59 regular season games with the Monarchs. The 5-foot-11, 193-pound native of Hastings, Minnesota, also has no points and no penalty minutes in one Monarchs playoff game. Welch, originally selected by the Kings in the eighth-round (245th overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, also has 15 points (8-7=15) and eight penalty minutes in 11 regular season games with the Royals.
The Monarchs, regular season champions of the American Hockey League's Atlantic Division and Eastern Conference, will resume their best-of-seven Atlantic Division Semifinal series when they meet the Providence Bruins in Game 6 on Saturday, April 30 at 7:05 p.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts Center. The Bruins lead the series 3-games-to-2. If necessary, Game 7 of the series will be played on Monday, May 2 at 7:05 p.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Fans may also purchase tickets at all Ticketmaster locations, including Filenes at the Mall of New Hampshire.
Tickets are $18.50 for adults in the Gold level and $13.25 for adults in the Silver level of the Verizon Wireless Arena, $16.50 for seniors (65 and older) in the Gold level and $11.25 for seniors in the Silver level and $10.75 for youth tickets (12 and under) in both levels.
