News & Notes

This was the Monarchs fourth Calder Cup playoff appearance. They have yet to win a Calder Cup playoff series (0-4).

The Monarchs are 6-14 in 20 all-time Calder Cup playoff games over four seasons. The record includes a mark of 2-8 at the Verizon Wireless Arena and a mark of 4-6 on the road.

The Monarchs have never won more than two games in one Calder Cup playoff season.

Left wing Dustin Brown's five postseason goals tied former Monarchs forward Adam Mair for the most goals in one playoff season.

Brown collected his five goals in six games against the Bruins. Mair collected his five goals in five games against the Wolf Pack in the 2002 Calder Cup playoffs.

After he was held off the scoreboard in Game 1, Brown (2-5=7) collected seven points in his last four Calder Cup playoff games.

Brown needs just one more goal to tie former Monarchs right wing Pavel Rosa for most career playoff goals as a Monarch. Rosa collected six goals in nine career playoff games (2003 and 2004 Calder Cup playoffs).

Brown (2-5=7, 6 games played) and right wing Tom Kostopoulos (0-7=7, 6 games played) are tied for third on the Monarchs all-time playoff points list with seven points each. Rosa (6-7=13, 9 games played), with 13 career playoff points, is No. 1 on the list. Former Monarchs center Steve Kelly (1-9=10, 9 games played), with 10 career playoff points, is second on the list.
