
Monarchs Release Chaz Johnson

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released right wing Chaz Johnson from his professional tryout agreement, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
Johnson, 27, made his Monarchs debut against the Norfolk Admirals on March 25. In four games with the Monarchs, Johnson collected no points and two penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of Montreal, Quebec also skated this season with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL and recorded 19 goals and 12 assists for 31 points (19-1231) in 55 games.
Johnson has skated in 365 professional games with the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL), Rochester Americans (AHL), Hershey Bears (AHL), Binghamton Senators (AHL), Rockford IceHogs (UHL), Elmira Jackals (AHL), the Reign and the Monarchs. Johnson has scored 100 goals and 97 assists for 197 points (100-97197). He has also accumulated 979 penalty minutes in his career. Johnson appeared in 46 post-season contests, scoring 19 goals and 20 assists for 39 points (19-2039).
