Moose Re-Assign McGinnis to Kalamazoo

The Manitoba Moose announced today they have re-assigned defenceman Ryan McGinnis to the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.

McGinnis, 24, played a total of 19 games with the Moose this season recording one goal, one assist, and 14 penalty minutes. The native of Flint, MI began the season in Manitoba and played eight games before being re-assigned to Kalamazoo on Nov. 25/10. McGinnis played 30 games with Kalamazoo recording 21 points (5g, 16a) and 23 penalty minutes. He then returned to Manitoba upon recall on Feb. 11/11. McGinnis scored his first career AHL goal on Feb. 16/11 vs. Toronto. In 71 career AHL games with Manitoba, Norfolk, and Albany, McGinnis has 11 points (1g, 10a) and 44 penalty minutes.

McGinnis was originally drafted by Los Angeles in the sixth round, 184th overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
