PUT IT ON FRAME

Monarchs captain, David Kolomatis, has always been known as an offensive-defenseman, but has been even more involved through two games this year. To this point, DK has put 10 shots on net, with one finding the back of the net. If Kolomatis were to maintain this pace, he would surpass the 117 shots he put on target in 2016-17 by Dec. 10.

EARLY START

Not only is today's start an early one, the Monarchs will look to jump on the Beast from the jump. While still early in the season, the Beast have not scored the game's first goal in either of their games. To add some salt on the wound, Brampton has not led for a second in the 2017-18 season so far.

MAKE THE ADJUSTMENTS

The Monarchs have picked up where they left off from last season when it comes to second period scoring. Entering this morning's game, the Monarchs are tied for the most second period goals across the league, scoring five of their seven total tallies. Last season, Manchester ranked second in the league with 115 middle frame goals, two shy of the Toledo Walleye, but 17 more than the third place Florida Everblades.
