PRINCETON, N.J. - Michael Houser of the Fort Wayne Komets is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 13-15. It is the second time in his career that he has received the weekly honor.

The 25-year-old stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced in the Komets' season-opening 4-2 win over Toledo on Saturday.

A native of Youngstown, Ohio, Houser has appeared in 99 career ECHL games with Cincinnati, Manchester and Fort Wayne posting an overall record of 55-34-8 with five shutouts, a 2.54 goals-against average and a save percentage of .918.

Under an American Hockey League contract with Tucson, Houser has seen action in 72 career AHL games with San Antonio, Ontario and Cleveland going 32-26-4 with three shutouts, a 2.88 goals-against average and a save percentage of .901.

Prior to turning pro, Houser played three seasons with London of the Ontario Hockey League where he went 93-38-7 with seven shutouts, a 2.90 goals-against average and a save percentage of .912 while leading the Knights to the 2010 OHL title.

Runner Up: Pat Nagle, Toledo (1-0-0, 1.89 GAA, .921 save pct.).

Also Nominated: Callum Booth (Florida), Collin Delia (Indy), Tyler Parsons (Kansas City), Angus Redmond (Utah), Sean Maguire (Wheeling) and Shane Starrett (Wichita).
