HEAD-TO-HEAD - Tonight's matchup marks the second meeting all-time between Manchester and Orlando. The Monarchs took the first ever meeting, 3-0, last night at Amway Center. All-time, the Monarchs are 1-0-0-0 against the Solar Bears, and now sport a 14-7-0-1 record away from the Verizon Wireless Arena.

WHERE WE STAND - With their win last night, the Monarchs (57 points) now sit three points ahead of the Adirondack Thunder in the East Division and only two points behind the Florida Everblades for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Monarchs have a good chance at reaching the top of the conference tonight, as Florida is idle.

STREAKING - The Monarchs are riding an eight game point streak, going 6-0-1-1 since Jan. 8. This marks the longest consecutive point streak for the Monarchs and ties their eight-game road point streak earned from Nov. 26 - Dec. 18.

GOALTENDER BATTLE - Monarchs goaltender, Colin Stevens, has been on a roll of late. The first-year goaltender has quietly posted a 9-2-1-0 record dating back to Nov. 21, after losing his first three starts of the season. In that span, Stevens has posted two shutouts, a 1.92 GAA and 0.925 save percentage. Entering tonight's game, Stevens ranks 10th in the ECHL with a 2.34 GAA.

Fellow goaltender, Doug Carr, has been solid as well, as he has not lost a game in regulation since Dec. 13, posting a 4-0-0-3 record in that time frame. Although Carr doesn't have enough minutes to be considered for the league leaders, his 2.08 GAA and 0.938 save percentage would rank him seventh and first in the league respectively.

YOUNG BUCKS - The matchup between Orlando and Manchester features two of the most dynamic offensive rookies in the ECHL. Matt Leitner of the Monarchs ranks third in the league for rookie scoring with 35 points, and his 27 assists ranks second first first-year players.

Orlando forward, T.J. Foster, ranks fourth in the league with 33 points, and his 15 goals are good for a first place tie for rookies. Foster has also been Mr. Clutch for the Solar Bears, netting five game-winning-goals, tied for third amongst all skaters in the ECHL.

CLOSE CALLS - The Monarchs have played in a league high, 22 one-goal games, and lead the league with 15 wins in those close contests. The 15-2-1-4 record the Monarchs sport gives them points in 91% of one-goal games, far and away leading the league.

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - Manchester forward, Joey Diamond, is riding a six-game point streak (3g, 5a), and in his next game, will play in the 100th professional game of his career. Diamond will also hit 55 professional points with the next point he scores.
