NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals announce today that the club has traded defenseman Tim Daly to the Utah Grizzlies for future considerations, and defenseman Charles-Olivier Roussel has signed with a European club. In addition, the Admirals' AHL affiliate, the Bakersfield Condors, have reassigned defenseman Ben Betker to Norfolk.

Daly, 23, skated in his first 12 professional games with the Admirals after a four-year career at St. Cloud State University from 2011-15. He went scoreless and finished a minus-8 with four penalty minutes.

Roussel, 24, wraps up his tenure in Hampton Roads after two goals and 18 assists in 41 games. The 2009 second-round pick of the Nashville Predators ends his ECHL career with nine goals, 37 helpers, and 46 points over 107 games. The St. Eustache, QC native also participated in 83 AHL contests with Milwaukee, and posted four goals and 14 assists.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pound defenseman returns to Norfolk with a goal and 13 assists through 39 ECHL games as a rookie. Edmonton drafted the Cranbrook, BC native 158th overall in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
