With 14 games remaining in the regular season, the Monarchs are second place in the North Division with 71 points, trailing the Adirondack Thunder, with 72. Manchester is trailed closely by the Reading Royals (67) and Wheeling Nailers (65), for the top four spots in the division. Worcester is currently on the outside, looking in, with 59 points, but the Railers have 16 games remaining in the season.
NOT THE BEST TIMING
The Monarchs are on a season-long, five-game losing streak heading into the final game of the weekend against Worcester. All five games have been against divisional opponents, and the Monarchs have seen their lead in the division slip away after two losses to the Thunder. In those five losses, the Monarchs have allowed the first goal in each game and have been outscored 21-7.
BETTER ON THE ROAD
Manchester heads back on the road, after losing five in a row at home. The Monarchs have played well on the road this season, posting a division best 18-8-2-1 record in opposing barns. Manchester will also look to kickstart their power play, that has not scored in their last 14 attempts. On the road this season, the Monarchs have the second-best power play in the league, scoring on 22.2% of their chances.
