Americans Make Two Deals, Bring Back Popular Tristan King

Allen, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, and Globe Life announced today that the club has acquired forward Tristan King from the Quad City Mallards.
This will be King's second go-round with the Americans. He played in parts of two seasons with Allen. The veteran forward was acquired from the Missouri Mavericks (now Kansas City) for Trevor Ludwig before the start of the 2015-2016 season. He had 14 goals and 19 assists for 33 points in his first year with Allen. He played in 7 games with the Americans in 2016-2017, scoring a goal and adding an assist for two points before being traded to the Indy Fuel. In 42 games with Quad City this year, he had 15 goals and 18 assists for 33 points. Including the end of last season with Greenville, King had a combined 23 goals and 22 assists over his last 62 games.
"When I heard I had a chance to be back in Allen it brought back great memories of our championship in 2016, said Tristan King. " I'm excited to be back in Texas to help bring another championship to Allen."
King was acquired a day after the club dealt forward Connor Reilly to Quad City. The Americans still owe the Mallards future considerations in the deal. Reilly had two goals and 8 assists for 10 points. The native of Chanhassen, MN, and former University of Minnesota forward has played 35 games as a pro. 31 of those 35 games with Allen.
The Americans made a second trade today, acquiring Alexandre Carrier from the Atlanta Gladiators for veteran Mathieu Aubin. Carrier brings size and toughness to the Allen lineup. In 46 games this season with Atlanta, the 6-foot-3 and 210 pound forward had 10 points and 88 penalty minutes.
"With the moves we made this weekend, we got bigger, faster and more skilled," said Americans Head Coach Steve Martinson. " King made some big plays during our championship run."
