MALLARDS NOTES
Last Night
Five different Cincinnati Cyclones scored and Jason Kasdorf made 31 saves as the host Cyclones defeated the Mallards 5-2.
Splitsville
The Mallards today play for the third time in 48 hours after splitting their first two games of the weekend. A 7-6 shootout win over Utah Friday evening preceded last night's defeat.
Three in Three
This is the Mallards' fourth stretch of three games in three days in as many weekends and their eighth this season. They have gone 3-3-1 when play for a third time in as many days.
Busy
The Mallards tonight play their fourth game in five days. Over the longer haul, they play their final 32 games over 67 days.

The Mallards fell last night despite outshooting the Cyclones 33-28. The Cyclones emerged from the first period with a 2-1 lead despite being outshot 17-8 over the opening 20 minutes.

The Cyclones last night outscored the Mallards 2-1 over an explosive one minute, 57 second stretch early in the third period to build their 5-2 lead. Rob DeFulviis gave Cincinnati a 4-1 advantage at 3:18 of the third. Just 26 seconds later, the Mallards' Gergo Nagy trimmed the deficit to 4-2 but Alex Kile responded with the fifth Cyclone goal at 5:15.
