
Monarchs Flagship Radio Station Returns to WGIR

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the top affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have signed a new radio agreement with WGIR AM 610 to carry the team's game broadcast for the 2011-12 season, Monarchs President Darren Abbott announced today. The Monarchs have also partnered with WTPL 107.7 FM The Pulse to air a select number of games this season.
"We are pleased to return to WGIR for this season's broadcast," said Abbott. "We have had a great partnership with Joe Graham and Clear Channel since the team's inception and it is great to be able to bring our broadcast back to their airwaves."
The new flagship radio agreement allows WGIR AM 610 to broadcast 46 regular season Monarchs games, as well as all Monarchs 2012 Calder Cup playoff games. WGIR's seacoast affiliate, WMYF 1380 AM The Sports Animal, will also broadcast 15 regular season games. In addition, every Monarchs regular season and playoff games will be streamed on www.wgiram.com and www.manchestermonarchs.com . Radio broadcasts will start a half an hour before each game with a preview by Monarchs broadcaster Ken Cail and conclude a half hour following each game with a post-game recap.

WTPL 107.7 The Pulse is set to broadcast 33 regular season games.
