Laredo Lemurs News Release
Wichita, KS - The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Laredo Lemurs SS Jimmy Mojica has been named this week's Pointstreak Hitter of the Week.
Mojica went on a tear for the Lemurs over the last six games. The shortstop went 15-for-27 (.556) at the plate with four home runs and 10 RBI. He also doubled twice and struck out just once during that stretch.
Perhaps Mojica's most notable performance of the week came on Wednesday against Sioux Falls. Mojica went 4-for-5 with a pair of homers and three RBI, as Laredo beat the Canaries, 5-3. Both of his home runs were solo shots and he added an RBI single in the eighth.
