
Moises Sierra Hits Walk-Off Home Run In Tenth

(Manchester, NH)---Moises Sierra launched the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the tenth inning for a walk-off home run as the Fisher Cats beat the Binghamton Mets 5-4 Thursday night at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium.
Sierra's home run, his first of the season, came off Binghamton reliever Ricky Brooks (1-2). Alan Farina (1-1) pitched a scoreless tenth inning in relief for the Fisher Cats to earn the win.
Binghamton (5-7) took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning against Fisher Cats starter B.J. LaMura. Josh Satin (2-for-4) doubled and scored on a single by Eric Campbell.
In the bottom of the first inning, Anthony Gose doubled down the left field line, Adeiny Hechavarria reached on an error and Gose scored on a fielders choice by Sierra to tie the game at 1-1.
New Hampshire (8-5) moved back in front 2-1 in the last of the third inning. Marc Sobolewski walked, Hechavarria beat out a bunt, moving Sobolewski to second. He took third on a fly out and scored on an error as B-Mets starter Brad Holt tried to pick off Hechavarria.
In the top of the sixth inning, the Mets used four consecutive singles to reclaim the lead. Kai Gronauer singled home Brahaim Maldanado, who had singled. Mike Fisher scored the go-ahead run on a Carlos Guzman RBI single.
Binghamton added a run in the top of the seventh inning. Jesus Feliciano doubled and scored on a single by Raul Reyes to make it 4-2 Mets.
New Hampshire tied the game in the last of the eighth inning. Gose walked, Hechavarria singled, and Sierra singled Gose home to make it 4-3. Hechavarria, who moved to third on the single, scored on a sacrifice fly by Adam Calderone.
LaMura worked the first four innings for the Fisher Cats, allowing one run on four hits. He walked two and struck out six. Matt Daly, Evan Crawford and Clint Everts (two scoreless innings) also worked in addition to Farina.
The Fisher Cats and Binghamton will play again on Friday night. LHP Robert Carson (1-1, 0.90) will start for the Mets against New Hampshire RHP Chad Beck (1-0, 1.13). An Atlas Fireworks Show will follow the game. For tickets and information, call (603) 641-2005 or visit www.nhfishercats.com.

The Fisher Cats have also announced that Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Rajai Davis is expected to begin a rehabilitation assignment beginning Friday evening. The speedster is currently on the disabled list with a sore right ankle.
