NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found the Los Angeles Football Club in violation of the mass confrontation policy during the 73rd minute of their match on July 19. LAFC has violated the mass confrontation policy for a second time this season, and the organization and head coach Bob Bradley have been issued undisclosed fines for their actions.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found LA Galaxy forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic guilty of simulation/embellishment. Ibrahimovic has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 29th minute of LA's match against the Los Angeles Football Club on July 19.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found the Portland Timbers and Seattle Sounders FC in violation of the mass confrontation policy during the post-match phase of their matchup on July 21. Both clubs have violated the mass confrontation policy for a second time this season. Both organizations, Portland head coach Giovanni Savarese and Seattle head coach Brian Schmetzer have been issued undisclosed fines for their actions. Additionally, Seattle defender Roman Torres was issued an undisclosed fine for inciting the mass confrontation incident.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has found Houston Dynamo midfielder Juan David Cabezas in violation of the league's policy regarding entering the field of play. Cabezas has been issued an undisclosed fine for his actions in the 57th minute of Houston's match against Toronto FC on July 20.
MLS fines New York City FC midfielder Alexander Ring for comments regarding officiating
MLS Commissioner Don Garber announced today that New York City FC midfielder Alexander Ring has been fined an undisclosed amount for his media comments on July 19 that were subsequently published. These comments are in violation of the league's public criticism policy.
