FORWARD #99 ANDRE HAYNE NAMED MAJOR ARENA SOCCER LEAGUE'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK!

The Six-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave (7-0) look to stay undefeated Saturday night in a holiday showdown of sorts, as the face the St. Louis Ambush (0-7) at UW_Milwaukee Panther Arena. The game was originally scheduled for a 12:05pm kick-off and was moved to 7:05pm to accommodate UW-Milwaukee Panther Basketball.

"We are quietly confident heading into Saturday nights game," said Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "We know St. Louis took us to overtime last weekend and the game could've went either way, so we're not taking them lightly at all. They're much better than their record indicates and are really coming along game-by-game but we had another great week of practice and are prepared for whatever they throw at us."

MKE WAVE FORWARD #99 ANDRE HAYNE NAMED MAJOR ARENA SOCCER LEAGUE'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK! The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today that Milwaukee Wave forward #99 Andre Hayne has been voted the Week Seven MASL Player of the Week. This is Hayne's first Player of the Week selection and the second for the Milwaukee Wave this season. The MASL Player of the Week is selected by a vote of the MASL teams and MASL fans.

Hayne set the arena soccer world on fire with his bicycle kick goal that tied up the game for the Wave against St. Louis on Friday night. He then followed that up with another goal and an assist the next night as the Wave remain undefeated.

Hayne credits teammate Josh Lemos for setting up his bicycle kick goal that was featured on ESPN SportsCenter's Top 10 last week. When asked about the goal itself, he admitted to not having seen it go in at the time, but admiring it after the game was over in highlights.

"It shows that all the hard work I'm doing is paying off," said MKE Wave Forward #99 Andre Hayne. "But it's not just special recognition for my hard work, this goes to all of my teammates as well. I could've never done that if the Josh Lemos couldn't send that perfect pass to me. It's something we've been working at for a long time. I'm just glad that it happened and now we can have more visibility for the team, the club, and the league."

"It's great for the team and for the league to get some nationwide attention and shows how much excitement our game has," said MKE Wave Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and now here we have shrunken it into an arena setting that makes it much more action packed with a lot of goals. Andre's bicycle kick was spectacular. Things like that happen all the time in arena soccer and its great that it's getting the exposure that it deserves."

"Not only are we a great team, but we're a team that's fun to watch," said MKE Wave Forward #9 Robert Renaud. "Every game we come up with something new, something fantastic for the fans. Whether it's close game or a blow out, there's always something good for the fans. Last weekend it was Andre and previous weeks it was someone else. Of course you can't compare what Andre did to what anyone else did."
