Mitchell Akers Benefit Game Rescheduled to Sunday

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns, Single-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, today announce that Friday's Mitchell Akers Leopard Spirit Memorial Scholarship Fund benefit game has been rescheduled to Sunday's 1:05 p.m. game versus the Delmarva Shorebirds. Friday night's game versus Delmarva has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Tickets purchased for the Friday, June 1, postponed game will be honored for the Sunday, June 3, rescheduled benefit game, as well as any other Suns regular season home game. The Suns will make a five dollar donation to the Mitchell Akers Leopard Spirit Memorial Scholarship Fund for every ticket sold for Sunday's rescheduled benefit game, as well as any tickets previously purchased for Friday night's postponed game.

The Suns and Shorebirds will play two seven-inning games as part of a doubleheader scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, June 2. Game one (postponed gamed) is scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m. Game two, the originally scheduled game for Saturday, will begin approximately 30-minutes following the conclusion of game one.
